Psalm 100:5 New Living Translation
Founded in rural South Carolina, The Good Fruit Foundation formed as a compassion-driven response to address the critical resource limitations and systemic health challenges faced by our home counties and surrounding rural communities. We recognized that although many passionate individuals, organizations, local health systems, churches, and agencies are dedicated to making a difference, they often operate in isolation. This creates barriers to tackling complex issues such as chronic diseases and food insecurity, especially when resources are scarce. Thus, the Foundation was established to bring together stakeholders through a collective impact model.
By acting as a backbone or anchor organization, we help provide the essential infrastructure, coordination, and leadership needed to encourage collaboration, promote equity, and achieve sustainable health outcomes. The Foundation prioritizes addressing difficult-to-reach, underlying social determinants of health, improving access to care, and enhancing community capacity by supporting evidence-based interventions, shared measurement systems, and advocating for policy and systemic changes. We help cultivate the foundations for lasting good in communities that are often unrecognized.
We are proud to partner with our local and regional churches, organizations, health systems and businesses in collective impact to support our community sustainably. Our partnerships enable us to expand fruitful reach and multiply often limited resources and services to those in need. James 2:15-16 reminds us that faith without action is dead, urging believers to not overlook the needs of our neighbor. The Good Fruit Foundation works to embody love in action by addressing urgent health needs in our local communities through evidence-based interventions and collective impact initiatives. John 17:22-23 NLT
“I have called you back from the ends of the earth, saying, ‘You are my servant.’ For I have chosen you and will not throw you away. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you. I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.” Isaiah 41:9-10
